Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)

Type

PRP/PRF Therapy

Duration

30 min

What's included

4 deliverables in this treatment

  • Small blood draw
  • Preparation of the platelet-rich fibrin
  • Placement at the surgical site
  • Used alongside the relevant procedure

Platelet-rich fibrin uses a small sample of your own blood, spun to concentrate platelets and fibrin, which is then placed at a surgical site to support natural healing. At Medin it is offered as an adjunct to oral surgery and implant procedures. Because the material is autologous — entirely derived from you — it is well tolerated, and the dentist will advise when it may be helpful as part of a treatment.

The dentist will advise whether PRF is likely to be useful in your particular case; it is most often…
