- Small blood draw
- Preparation of the platelet-rich fibrin
- Placement at the surgical site
- Used alongside the relevant procedure
Platelet-rich fibrin uses a small sample of your own blood, spun to concentrate platelets and fibrin, which is then placed at a surgical site to support natural healing. At Medin it is offered as an adjunct to oral surgery and implant procedures. Because the material is autologous — entirely derived from you — it is well tolerated, and the dentist will advise when it may be helpful as part of a treatment.
