Medimage SA is an independent private medical imaging centre located at Route de Florissant 1 in Geneva's Champel district, operating since 1973. The practice brings together six specialist radiologists — including Dr. Monica Deac, a cardiologist specialising in cardiac MRI — alongside a team of six multi-skilled medical imaging technicians led by a certified radiation protection expert. For cardiac imaging, the centre performs coronary calcium scoring and CT coronary angiography on a latest-generation, low-dose CT scanner. The calcium score is acquired without contrast, while a subsequent iodine injection can be added to visualise coronary artery calibre and characterise any plaques present. The combined cardiac CT protocol mirrors the dual-stage approach used at dedicated cardiac radiology centres: a non-contrast stage generates the validated Agatston score, and a contrast-enhanced angiographic stage maps stenoses and anomalies in three dimensions. Cardiac MRI — a speciality led personally by Dr. Deac — is available both at rest and under pharmacological stress using adenosine, enabling functional assessment of myocardial perfusion. The MRI suite houses a Philips Ingenia 1.5T scanner with a 70 cm wide-bore tunnel and full fibre-optic DStream technology, supporting advanced sequences including Dixon, SWI, StarQuant, and MultivaneXD. Beyond cardiac imaging, the full service range covers MRI across all body systems, ultrasound, Doppler and elastography, mammography, plain radiography, dental panoramic, bone densitometry (mineralometry), and CT-guided procedures including arthro CT, infiltration, and biopsy. Appointments run Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00.
