MEDEOR's Anemie (Anaemia) package is a self-pay blood panel investigating tiredness, weakness and pallor in Přerov. It combines a full blood count with iron-status and related markers to identify iron-deficiency and other anaemias. Analysed on-site, no referral needed.

About this treatment

Anaemia — a shortage of healthy red blood cells or haemoglobin — is a common cause of persistent fatigue, weakness, breathlessness and pallor, and iron deficiency is its most frequent cause. MEDEOR's Anemie package gives self-pay clients in Přerov a thorough work-up.

The panel combines a complete blood count (red-cell count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, red-cell indices such as MCV) with iron-status markers — serum iron, ferritin (the main marker of iron stores) and related parameters, often alongside vitamin B12 and folate where relevant. Together these distinguish iron-deficiency anaemia from other types and help identify the underlying cause, guiding whether iron supplementation, dietary change or further…

Samples are processed at MEDEOR's accredited Přerov laboratory with routine results generally available by the next working day. No referral is required. The laboratory team can advise on whether the pattern suggests iron deficiency or another cause and whether GP follow-up is appropriate.
