Type

Consultation

Duration

45 min

A face-to-face consultation with a clinical oncologist at Masarykův onkologický ústav, including a clinical examination and a final written report. Self-payers and foreign patients can use it for a preventive assessment, to interpret existing results, or to discuss personal cancer risk without going through the insurance-funded pathway. The comprehensive consultation is the full first assessment; a lower-priced repeat/targeted consultation is available for follow-up or a focused question. Delivered within a JCI-accredited comprehensive cancer centre rated #1 of 35 Czech hospitals for patient satisfaction.

This is a private, self-payer consultation with a clinical oncologist at Czechia's national comprehensive cancer centre. It suits people who want expert oncology input outside the public insurance pathway — for example to review a family cancer history, interpret blood, imaging or biopsy results they already hold, discuss screening strategy, or get a structured medical opinion on next steps. The comprehensive consultation (the default option here) covers a full clinical history and physical examination, review of any documents and results the patient brings, and a discussion of findings and recommended next investigations or referrals. It concludes with a final written report that the patient can take to their own physician or insurer. A repeat or targeted consultation is offered at a lower price for follow-up visits or a single focused question, where a complete first assessment is not needed. To get the most from the appointment, bring all relevant prior records — laboratory results, imaging reports and discs, histology reports, discharge summaries and a current medication list. The consultation is an assessment and planning service, not a treatment; any recommended diagnostics (imaging, endoscopy, genetics) or oncology care are arranged separately. Because MOÚ is a full comprehensive cancer centre, findings can be channelled directly into its diagnostic and multidisciplinary pathways. Weekend and public-holiday consultations carry a surcharge over the weekday price.
