Diagnostic CT scan of any single body region at Poland's largest private imaging network. Available at the Kasprzaka 17 Warsaw centre for head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and spine. Both native and contrast-enhanced protocols offered. Physician referral required under Polish law.
LUX MED Diagnostyka has operated as Poland's largest specialist imaging network since its establishment as a dedicated brand within the LUX MED Group, a Bupa subsidiary. With over 70 centres across 21 Polish cities and standardised CT and MRI protocols applied across the network, the brand brings institutional imaging expertise that most single-site private clinics cannot match. A single-region CT scan at the Kasprzaka 17 Warsaw centre covers all major body areas: the head and brain (trauma assessment, cerebrovascular disease, oncological staging, paranasal sinus evaluation), the neck (lymph node assessment, thyroid and parotid gland pathology, vascular disease), the chest and mediastinum (pulmonary nodule detection, pleural disease, hilar and mediastinal masses), the abdomen (liver, pancreas, kidneys, adrenal glands, spleen, bowel), the pelvis (bladder, uterus, prostate, lymph nodes), and any segment of the spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar-sacral). The scanner produces thin-slice volumetric data that is reconstructed into multi-planar images in axial, coronal, and sagittal orientations. Three-dimensional reconstructions are generated where clinically indicated. A specialist radiologist reviews every study and returns a written findings report; images are accessible via the Portal Pacjenta online platform or supplied on CD upon request. Contrast-enhanced CT uses an iodine-based intravenous agent to improve delineation of blood vessels, tumours, and inflammatory tissue. Patients scheduled for a contrast study are required to fast for six hours beforehand and bring a recent creatinine result confirming adequate renal function. Patients with diagnosed thyroid disease should additionally provide a TSH value. Daily medications should be taken as usual unless the booking team advises otherwise. All CT examinations in Poland are subject to the national Atomic Law statute, which requires a physician referral for every study — including self-funded private bookings. Any doctor currently in practice can issue the referral; a private GP appointment lasting a few minutes before the scan date is sufficient. LUX MED's own GP and specialist network, with over 10,000 physicians across 300 facilities, can issue referrals on the same day if needed. Results are delivered through the Portal Pacjenta platform, where images and reports can be downloaded within the standard turnaround window. The Kasprzaka 17 centre is located in Warsaw's Wola district, accessible by public transport.
