Treatment of spider veins, dilated capillaries, hemangiomas and rosacea redness using the Candela V-beam pulsed dye laser with dynamic skin cooling. Computer-guided delivery targets haemoglobin in the vessel while preserving surrounding tissue, making it one of the most precise vascular laser platforms available. Two to three sessions are usually enough. The sensation is minimal — most patients find it painless — and EMLA cream is available for sensitive areas.
Vascular laser treatment at Laser Esthetic uses the V-beam, a pulsed dye laser manufactured by Candela (USA) operating at 595 nm — the wavelength most selectively absorbed by oxyhaemoglobin in blood vessels. When the pulse is absorbed by the vessel, it heats the blood and vessel wall, causing the capillary to collapse and be reabsorbed by the body over the following weeks. Surrounding tissue is preserved because the wavelength is not preferentially absorbed by melanin or collagen at the energies used. The integrated Dynamic Cooling Device sprays a cryogen mist onto the skin before each pulse, protecting the epidermis and significantly reducing discomfort. The system uses computer-guided delivery so each pulse is precisely positioned and sized to the vessel being treated, which is particularly important around the face where aesthetic precision matters. Treatments span dilated veins and capillaries on the face and body, spider naevi, port wine stains, hemangiomas, and the diffuse redness and capillary damage associated with rosacea. Each session lasts from a few seconds to tens of minutes depending on the area; the sensation is described as slight pinching and is largely painless. EMLA cream is available for larger or more sensitive areas. Redness and mild bruising (purpura) can appear for a few days after treatment and resolve without intervention. Full results are visible from five to six weeks post-session, and two to three sessions are sufficient for most presentations. Strict sun avoidance and SPF 50+ are required post-treatment to maintain the result. A dermatologist assesses the lesion type and skin at consultation to confirm the V-beam is the appropriate device.
