Laser Tattoo Removal (Q-Plus Nd:YAG)

Type

Laser

Duration

30 min

Professional tattoo removal using the Q-Plus system, combining Q-switched Nd:YAG (1064 nm) and double-frequency KTP Nd:YAG (532 nm) lasers to shatter ink particles of all colours. Laser Esthetic has performed over 25,000 tattoo removals since its founding — among the highest volumes of any clinic in the Czech Republic. Sessions are priced by pulse count, rewarding larger or multi-session bookings, and a course of six to seven sessions is typically needed. The same system also treats permanent makeup and pigmentation.

Tattoo removal at Laser Esthetic is performed with the Q-Plus platform, a dual-wavelength device that combines a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser at 1064 nm with a frequency-doubled KTP Nd:YAG at 532 nm. The Q-switched mode delivers energy in ultra-short nanosecond pulses that create a photoacoustic shockwave fragmenting tattoo ink particles into microscopic pieces small enough for the body's immune cells to clear through the lymphatic system. The 1064 nm wavelength targets darker inks (black, brown, dark blue), while the 532 nm KTP handles red, orange and warm-toned pigments — together covering the full colour spectrum. This dual-wavelength approach is why the clinic can treat virtually any tattoo colour, including green and blue, which require additional passes. A course of minimum six to seven sessions is standard, spaced six to seven weeks apart to allow the body time to clear fragmented particles and to prevent excessive scarring. The number of sessions ultimately depends on tattoo age, ink density, depth, professional versus amateur application, and individual immune response. A new tattoo must be at least four months old before treatment can begin. During each session, the sensation is often described as a rubber band snap; EMLA topical anaesthetic is available for larger areas. Redness and mild swelling settle within hours to days. The clinic has recorded over 25,000 successful removals — a significant clinical volume that reflects both equipment quality and operator expertise. The same Q-Plus platform is also used for permanent makeup removal and for superficial pigmentation.
