Whole-Body Cryotherapy

Whole-body cryotherapy at KryoRestart involves entering an electric cryochamber manufactured by MECOTEC, a German engineering firm specialising in medical-grade cold therapy equipment. Unlike nitrogen-based cryosaunas where only the body is exposed while the head remains above the chamber, the MECOTEC electric system cools the entire chamber uniformly to -110°C, providing consistent cold exposure to the whole body including the face and head.

The session protocol begins with approximately 5 minutes of preparation — changing into minimal clothing (underwear, socks, gloves, headband to protect ears), briefing on breathing technique, and acclimatisation. The chamber exposure itself lasts 4 minutes. After exiting, clients spend 5 to 8 minutes in a recovery zone with cardio equipment, allowing the body to rewarm naturally through light movement.

The physiological response to extreme cold exposure includes peripheral vasoconstriction followed by vasodilation upon rewarming, release of norepinephrine and endorphins, and activation of brown adipose tissue. Regular users report improvements in post-exercise recovery, joint stiffness, sleep quality, energy levels, and mood.
