FTC Body Contouring applies polydioxanone (PDO) threads to areas of skin laxity on the trunk and limbs to produce a lifting and firming effect. At Kožní Keclíková, FTC-certified physicians treat the abdomen, waist, hips, back bra-line, sagging upper arms, inner and outer thighs, and the knee area. Thread implantation follows the same fine-needle PDO principle as the face service — threads are absorbed in approximately nine months while stimulating a lasting collagen scaffold. For areas with concurrent fat deposits, a lipolytic (fat-dissolving) solution can be applied in the same session as an adjunct. The result is progressive skin tightening and contouring over several months, without surgical downtime.
The body contouring programme at Kožní Keclíková extends the FTC thread-lifting system from the face to six major body areas where skin laxity, soft tissue ptosis, or post-weight-loss looseness create contour concerns that neither topical treatments nor non-invasive devices typically resolve adequately. Polydioxanone threads are implanted in the subcutaneous tissue using the same fine-needle delivery used for face treatments. The physician maps the area to be treated, marks vectors of tension, and introduces threads in a grid or fanning pattern dictated by the anatomy of each zone. In the abdomen and flank, threads are laid to address the lower-abdominal pouch and the lateral rolls at the waist; in the upper arm, the focus is the posterior and medial arm surface that loses tone after significant weight change or with age; in the thighs, the inner surface (which is prone to rubbing discomfort as skin laxity increases) and the outer thigh (saddlebag region) are treated separately. The knee programme addresses the loose skin above and below the patella that creates an older appearance on otherwise toned legs. The biological mechanism mirrors the face programme: immediate mechanical tension plus a sustained collagen-stimulation response as the PDO dissolves. Because body areas have thicker dermis and larger treatment surfaces than the face, the number of threads per session is higher and the session duration is correspondingly longer. Visible tightening develops progressively over three to six months as the collagen matrix matures. For areas combining skin laxity with localised fat deposits, the clinic offers a lipolytic solution add-on. The lipolytic agent is injected into the fat compartment in the same session, triggering apoptosis in adipocytes; the cleared volume then allows the thread-lifted skin to conform more tightly to the reduced underlying tissue. This combination approach is particularly suited to the inner arm, lower abdomen, and inner thigh. Recovery after body PDO thread treatment is minimal — bruising and swelling are common for several days, and mild pulling sensations resolve as the threads integrate. Compression garments may be recommended for the first 48 hours on limb areas. Patients should avoid strenuous exercise and sauna use for approximately two weeks.
