Porcelain veneers are thin ceramic shells bonded to the front of the teeth to improve their colour, shape, alignment and proportions, creating an even, natural-looking smile. FROE makes veneers in its on-site ESTODENT ceramic laboratory and offers both conventional veneers and ultra-thin LUMINEERS that require minimal tooth preparation. Each case is planned individually so the result suits the face and the rest of the smile.

A veneer is a thin, custom-made shell of dental porcelain that covers the front surface of a tooth. Veneers are a cosmetic treatment used to address teeth that are discoloured, chipped, worn, slightly crooked, unevenly spaced or out of proportion, and they are usually placed across several front teeth so the smile looks balanced as a whole rather than tooth by tooth. At FROE treatment starts with a smile assessment and planning, taking into account tooth colour, shape and how the teeth meet. For conventional porcelain veneers a small amount of enamel is gently reshaped so the veneer sits flush; for ultra-thin LUMINEERS, little or no tooth reduction is usually needed, which can make the approach more conservative for suitable cases. Impressions or scans are taken and the on-site ceramic laboratory crafts each veneer to the agreed shade and form, with the dentist and ceramist refining the look together. At the bonding visit the veneers are tried in, adjusted and then bonded to the teeth, and the bite is checked. Porcelain veneers are associated with a durable, stain-resistant finish, though they are a considered, longer-term cosmetic commitment; good oral hygiene and avoiding habits such as biting hard objects help protect them. The dentist will discuss whether conventional or ultra-thin veneers, or an alternative such as crowns or whitening, best fits your goals.
