About this treatment
Most lip augmentation today is done with hyaluronic acid filler — effective, but temporary and cumulatively expensive, with results that must be repurchased every 6–12 months. The surgical alternative offered at FNKV uses the patient's own lip tissue to create permanent enhancement.
The technique
Under local anaesthesia, the surgeon performs mucosal advancement (commonly V-Y plasty) on the inner, wet surface of the lip: small flaps of the abundant inner mucosa are advanced outward, everting the lip so more of its red volume shows. There are no external incisions — all suture lines sit inside the mouth — and no foreign material is introduced.
