Tooth Extraction

Type

Extraction

Duration

45 min

Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth that is too damaged, decayed or impacted to save, carried out by Exacto Clinic's oral-surgery team. The clinic handles routine extractions as well as surgical removal of wisdom teeth and impacted teeth. Pricing depends on complexity, and supportive measures such as a PRF preparation from the patient's own blood or socket preservation with bone-substitute material can be added to help the site heal, particularly when an implant is planned later.

An extraction removes a tooth that cannot be restored — because of severe decay, fracture, advanced gum disease or impaction — or that is causing crowding or recurrent problems, as with some wisdom teeth. At Exacto Clinic extractions are performed by clinicians with a surgical focus, ranging from straightforward removal of an erupted tooth to the surgical extraction of teeth that are broken down at the gum line or fully impacted in the bone, which is reflected in the price banding. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic. For a simple extraction the tooth is gently loosened and lifted from its socket; surgical cases, including impacted wisdom teeth, may involve a small incision and sectioning of the tooth for easier removal, followed by sutures. Aftercare advice is given to support comfortable healing, and suture removal is included in the fee. Where the site is intended for a future implant, or where preserving the bone shape matters, the clinic offers socket preservation using bone-substitute material, and a PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) preparation made from a small sample of the patient's own blood can be placed to support the body's natural healing. The surgeon assesses the tooth, usually with imaging such as a panoramic X-ray or cone-beam CT for complex cases, and explains the approach, the expected recovery and the cost beforehand.
