The Platinum Assessment is Echelon Health's flagship screening programme, structured around the premise that early detection across every major organ system offers the greatest chance of catching disease before it progresses. The assessment spans approximately six hours for men and five for women, conducted across the Harley Street clinic and a partner MRI facility in nearby Marylebone. The imaging component is extensive. CT scanning covers the aorta, coronary arteries (including calcium scoring and contrast angiography), chest, abdomen, pelvis, virtual colonoscopy, and bone density — all performed on a 640-slice Aquilion ONE Prism scanner that delivers up to ten times less radiation than conventional CT systems while resolving structures as small as 0.3mm. MRI scanning includes the brain, cerebral artery angiography, carotid artery angiography, and prostate (men), using a 3T Siemens Magnetom Skyra with an open 70cm bore. Ultrasound examinations cover the thyroid plus gender-specific areas — testes for men, and breast, pelvic, and transvaginal imaging for women. An ECG, digital mammogram (women), and full-body mole screen complete the imaging programme. The blood panel measures over 40 parameters spanning haematology, renal and liver function, lipids, glucose metabolism, thyroid function, vitamin D, and gender-specific tumour markers and hormone profiles. A home stool test (Q-FIT) for bowel cancer screening is also included. Every scan is independently reviewed by the relevant specialist radiologist — up to seven across the full panel — and findings are synthesised in a comprehensive final consultation. The day is spent in a private suite with refreshments provided throughout.
