Gold Assessment (Women)

A comprehensive female screening combining extensive blood analysis with CT coronary angiography, chest/abdomen/pelvis CT, virtual colonoscopy, pelvic ultrasound, digital mammogram, and ECG. Addresses the major cancers and cardiovascular risks most relevant to women over 40, with all imaging reviewed by specialist radiologists.

The Gold Assessment for women is structured around the same thorough imaging and blood analysis framework as the male Gold package, adapted to cover the organ systems and cancers of greatest relevance to female patients. The assessment takes approximately three hours. Cardiac screening includes a calcium score and full CT coronary angiography with contrast — important because cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in women despite being frequently underdiagnosed. CT imaging covers the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and a virtual colonoscopy. Gender-specific cancer screening includes a digital mammogram for breast cancer detection and a pelvic ultrasound examining the ovaries and uterus. The blood panel is comprehensive, spanning haematology, organ function, lipids, glucose metabolism, thyroid function, vitamin D, and female-specific tumour markers including CEA, HE4, and CA125 — the latter two being the primary screening markers for ovarian cancer. Female hormone markers are also measured to provide insight into menopausal staging and hormonal balance. As with the male Gold package, this assessment does not include the brain MRI, cerebrovascular angiography, aortic CT, bone density assessment, thyroid ultrasound, breast ultrasound, transvaginal ultrasound, mole screening, or home stool test that are part of the Platinum programme. Women seeking the most complete breast assessment may wish to consider the Platinum, which adds breast ultrasound and transvaginal imaging alongside the mammogram. All scans are independently reviewed by specialist radiologists before the final consultation.
