The Gold Assessment for men delivers a focused but thorough screening programme across approximately four hours. It concentrates imaging resources on the organ systems where early detection offers the greatest clinical value for male patients — the heart, lungs, abdominal organs, colon, and prostate. Cardiac assessment includes both a calcium score and full CT coronary angiography with contrast, identifying arterial narrowing and soft plaque that a calcium score alone would miss. CT imaging extends to the chest (lung nodules and early-stage lung cancer), abdomen (liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, adrenal glands), pelvis (kidneys, bladder, lymph nodes), and a virtual colonoscopy for colonic polyps and bowel cancer screening. Prostate MRI and testicular ultrasound address the gender-specific cancers that represent significant risk in men over 40. The blood panel mirrors the Platinum assessment, covering haematology, organ function, lipids, glucose metabolism, thyroid screening, vitamin D, PSA (prostate-specific antigen), and male hormone markers including testosterone, LH, and FSH. An ECG assesses cardiac rhythm and electrical activity. The key difference from the Platinum package is the omission of brain MRI, cerebrovascular angiography, aortic CT, bone density assessment, thyroid ultrasound, mole screening, and the home stool test. For men whose primary concern is cancer and cardiovascular detection rather than neurological screening, the Gold assessment provides strong coverage at a lower price point. All scans are reviewed by specialist radiologists, and a final consultation synthesises the findings into actionable recommendations.
