Core Cancer Assessment

A targeted multi-organ cancer screening combining CT imaging of the abdomen, pelvis, and colon with thyroid and gender-specific ultrasound, prostate MRI (men), mammography (women), and a comprehensive blood panel including tumour markers. Focused specifically on detecting cancers across the major organ systems.

The Core Cancer Assessment is structured around a single clinical objective: screening for cancer across the organ systems where early detection most significantly improves outcomes. Rather than the broad multi-system approach of the Platinum or Gold packages, this assessment concentrates imaging and blood analysis on cancer-relevant pathways. CT imaging covers the abdomen (liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, adrenal glands), pelvis (kidneys, bladder, lymph nodes), and a virtual colonoscopy for colonic polyps and bowel cancer — three of the areas where CT excels at detecting early-stage malignancy. Thyroid ultrasound screens for nodules and thyroid cancer. Gender-specific screening adds prostate MRI and testicular ultrasound for men, and digital mammogram and pelvic ultrasound for women. The blood panel includes standard haematological and organ function markers alongside targeted tumour markers: CA 19-9 (pancreatic), PSA (prostate, men only), CEA (colorectal and other carcinomas), HE4 and CA125 (ovarian, women only), and ESR as a general marker that can be elevated in haematological malignancies. Hormone panels are gender-specific and contribute additional context for reproductive organ cancers. This assessment suits individuals whose primary health concern is cancer risk — whether due to family history, age-related risk, or a preference for targeted investigation over comprehensive screening. It does not include cardiac imaging, brain MRI, or bone density scanning, making it a more focused and faster alternative to the Platinum or Gold packages for those whose cardiovascular and neurological risk is not a current priority.
