Diagnostic computed tomography using multi-slice technology for imaging any body region. Available with or without contrast. Modern dose-reduction protocols ensure minimal radiation exposure.
General CT at DIE RADIOLOGIE covers the full spectrum of diagnostic imaging across all body regions — head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities. The network operates state-of-the-art multi-slice CT scanners with parallel tube detector systems capable of generating multiple layer images simultaneously per rotation, using spiral CT technology for rapid, motion-free acquisitions. All scanners incorporate modern dose-reduction calculation procedures that minimise radiation exposure without compromising image quality. This is particularly relevant for patients who may require repeat imaging over time, where cumulative dose management matters. Contrast-enhanced examinations use an intravenous iodine-based agent for improved soft-tissue differentiation — standard for abdominal, vascular, and oncological imaging. For abdominal CT specifically, oral contrast may be administered 10 to 45 minutes before the scan to opacify the bowel. Current kidney function and thyroid values are required before any contrast administration. CT imaging is available at six locations across the Munich area: München Zentrum, ISAR Klinikum, Bogenhausen, Arabellapark, and the regional centres in Starnberg and Fürstenfeldbruck. Most scans take only a few minutes, with results reviewed by specialist radiologists from the 42-physician partnership. Common indications include tumour staging and follow-up, trauma assessment, lung evaluation, abdominal pain investigation, kidney stone detection, and orthopaedic imaging where bone detail exceeds what MRI provides. Referral from a physician is standard for insurance-covered scans, while self-pay patients can access imaging directly.
