Laser coagulation of facial spider veins, broken capillaries and small vascular lesions using the K-Laser Blue Derma diode laser. The laser energy is selectively absorbed by haemoglobin in the dilated vessels, heating and collapsing them without damaging surrounding skin. MUDr. Irena Hejcmanová treats telangiectasias on the nose, cheeks and chin that are common in patients with rosacea or chronic sun exposure, as well as small haemangiomas and cherry angiomas. Fine lesions frequently clear after one or two sessions.
Facial spider veins — telangiectasias — are chronically dilated superficial capillaries that become visible as fine red or purple threads, typically 0.1 to 0.5 mm in diameter, on the nose, cheeks and chin. They arise from chronic ultraviolet exposure, genetic predisposition, rosacea and connective tissue conditions that reduce vessel wall elasticity. While medically benign, they can cause significant cosmetic concern, particularly when forming dense networks across the central face. Laser coagulation uses the principle of selective photothermolysis: the laser emits a wavelength that is absorbed strongly by oxyhaemoglobin — the red pigment inside red blood cells — relative to surrounding tissue. When the blood inside the vessel absorbs this energy and converts it to heat, the vessel wall is thermally damaged, the endothelial cells die, and the vessel collapses and is gradually reabsorbed by the body's inflammatory clearance over the following one to three weeks. Unlike sclerotherapy (injection of a chemical irritant), laser coagulation requires no puncture of the vessel and leaves no injection marks. At Derma-plus Tábor, MUDr. Irena Hejcmanová directs the K-Laser Blue Derma handpiece along each visible vessel, delivering laser pulses that track the vascular network. The sensation is typically described as brief warmth or snapping. Immediately after the session the treated vessels may appear darker and the surrounding skin flushed; this fades over one to three days. The vessels themselves lighten and disappear progressively over two to four weeks as the body clears the coagulated tissue. For rosacea-driven diffuse redness and vascular networks covering a larger area, multiple sessions are typically required. The K-Laser approach is more precise than broad-field IPL for individual distinct vessels, allowing MUDr. Hejcmanová to target specific telangiectasias without heating the general background skin. Small haemangiomas — bright red domed cherry angiomas or small strawberry-type lesions — respond well to the same technique and may clear completely in a single session. Aftercare after vascular laser treatment centres on sun protection and avoiding heat exposure (saunas, hot showers) for one week, as the newly cleared vessels need time to stabilise. The clinic provides detailed aftercare instructions at each session.

What's Included
Preparation Required
Avoid self-tan and significant sun exposure for four weeks before treatment. Arrive with clean skin, no foundation or cream on the face. Do not apply heat to the face (saunas, hot baths) for one week after each session.
500 Kč for the first 1 cm of spider vein treated. 100 Kč per additional 1 cm. Fine facial telangiectasias covering a small nose or cheek area typically fall within 600–1,000 Kč total. Pricing is from the published Derma-plus dermatology price list; exact cost confirmed at consultation after assessing the extent of the vascular lesion.
