Laser correction of surgical, traumatic and hypertrophic scars using the K-Laser Blue Derma diode laser at Derma-plus Tábor. The laser is applied to scar tissue to stimulate collagen remodelling, soften raised or thickened tissue and improve the colour and texture of abnormal scarring. MUDr. Irena Hejcmanová also offers intralesional corticosteroid injection (300 Kč per ampule) for keloid and hypertrophic scars that benefit from combined laser and pharmacological approach. A biostimulation support cycle (100 Kč) can be added to accelerate healing between scar treatment sessions.
Scars form when the wound-healing process deposits collagen in a disorganised pattern that differs from normal skin architecture. The clinical appearance and treatment needs vary significantly: hypertrophic scars are raised, firm and red, confined to the original wound margin, and typically arise from burns, surgical wounds or acne in predisposed individuals. Keloids extend beyond the wound boundary, continue to grow over months to years, and recur after removal — they require a combined approach targeting both the excess fibroblast activity and the disorganised collagen mass. Mature flat scars from surgery or trauma may be acceptable in texture but poor in colour — either persistently red (erythematous) or pale and atrophic. At Derma-plus Tábor, MUDr. Irena Hejcmanová uses the K-Laser Blue Derma to address scar tissue through two mechanisms: direct thermal action on the collagen architecture within the scar, and photobiomodulation to shift fibroblast activity from pathological (disorganised) collagen production towards normal remodelling. The thermal component denatures existing disorganised collagen fibres and initiates a fresh wound-healing cascade, stimulating new collagen synthesis that is better organised and more closely aligned with normal skin architecture. For hypertrophic scars and keloids where the primary driver is persistent fibroblast overactivity, the laser is combined with intralesional injection of corticosteroid into the lesion body (300 Kč per ampule). Corticosteroid downregulates fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis within the scar, complementing the laser-driven remodelling with pharmacological suppression of the overactive healing response. For fresh scars — within the first three to six months of formation while the tissue is still actively remodelling — even conservative early intervention can significantly redirect the healing trajectory. For mature, established scars, typically three to six sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart achieve meaningful textural and colour improvement; complete restoration of normal skin is rarely achievable, but substantial improvement is typical with a structured programme. Biostimulation mode of the K-Laser — low-level laser therapy applied at therapeutic rather than ablative settings — is used between treatment sessions and immediately post-procedure to reduce inflammation, accelerate epidermal recovery and support ongoing regenerative activity within the healing scar. At 100 Kč per cycle, biostimulation is a low-cost adjunct that extends the benefit of each laser treatment session.

Who Is This For?
Adults with persistent surgical or traumatic scars, hypertrophic scars from burns or acne, or keloids seeking physician-supervised laser correction with combined pharmacological support where needed
What's Included
Preparation Required
Avoid sun exposure to the scar area for two weeks before each session. Inform the doctor of any prior treatments to the scar including steroid injections. Use SPF 50+ on the healing area after each session.
Scar correction sessions are priced individually based on scar size, type and the number of sessions required. The base K-Laser lesion treatment starts from 1,000 Kč for the first lesion with anaesthesia included; larger scar areas and multi-session courses are quoted at consultation. For hypertrophic or keloid scars requiring intralesional injection (corticosteroid), an additional 300 Kč per ampule applies. All prices confirmed before treatment.
