Laser Skin Lesion and Growth Removal (K-Laser)

Type

Laser

Duration

30 min

Precise removal of benign skin growths — including fibromas, senile warts (seborrheic keratoses), age spots, moles, milia and nail fungus (onychomycosis) — using the K-Laser Blue Derma medical diode laser. This system delivers targeted energy that ablates the lesion tissue with minimal thermal spread to surrounding skin. Local anaesthetic cream or injection is included with the procedure. MUDr. Irena Hejcmanová confirms the benign nature of all lesions by dermoscopy before removal.

The K-Laser Blue Derma is a medical-grade diode laser system designed for a broad range of dermatological procedures. Its wavelength characteristics allow precise ablation and coagulation of superficial skin structures — from purely surface growths like seborrheic keratoses and milia through to slightly deeper fibromas and vascular lesions — with a level of control that manual or electrosurgical techniques cannot match. Before any lesion removal at Derma-plus Tábor, MUDr. Irena Hejcmanová performs dermoscopic assessment to confirm the lesion is benign. This is a non-negotiable clinical step: dermoscopy reveals pigment network structures and other criteria that distinguish benign from potentially malignant lesions. Only after confirmation that removal is clinically appropriate does the laser procedure proceed. For any lesion with atypical features, surgical excision with histopathological analysis is arranged instead. Local anaesthesia is administered before the laser procedure — topical cream for superficial small lesions, injectable lignocaine for firmer or deeper structures. The K-Laser handpiece is then applied directly over the lesion; the laser energy ablates the growth layer by layer, allowing the operator to stop at exactly the right depth. The surrounding skin receives minimal energy exposure because the laser is targeted precisely at the lesion. The treated area is covered with a small dressing; a superficial crust forms and separates naturally over ten to fourteen days, leaving a temporary pink area that resolves over two to four weeks. In addition to surface growths, the K-Laser Blue Derma is used at the clinic for onychomycosis (fungal nail infection): the laser energy penetrates through the nail plate to heat the fungal organisms within the nail bed, reducing fungal load across a course of several sessions. Unlike oral antifungal drugs, the laser approach carries no systemic side effects and does not require liver function monitoring, making it suitable for patients who cannot take oral antifungals. Biostimulation — low-level laser therapy applied to skin or scalp for regenerative rather than ablative purposes — is also available with the K-Laser Blue Derma. At biostimulatory settings the laser supports wound healing, reduces inflammation and stimulates cellular activity in hair follicles or skin that has undergone other treatment. Biostimulation cycles are priced at 100 Kč per session.
