The BOA lymph massage is a pneumatic compression therapy that uses inflatable boots or sleeves to apply sequential air pressure along the legs (and optionally the arms or hips). The compression chambers inflate and deflate in a wave-like pattern moving from the extremities toward the core, mimicking the natural pumping action of the lymphatic system. This mechanical stimulation serves several recovery functions: it accelerates lymphatic drainage (clearing metabolic waste products and reducing fluid retention), improves venous return (helping deoxygenated blood flow back to the heart), reduces delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) after exercise, and can decrease swelling and inflammation in the lower extremities.
