LED Light Therapy

Type

Red Light Therapy

Duration

30 min

What's included

4 deliverables in this treatment

  • 30-minute full-body LED light session
  • Red and near-infrared wavelengths (NASA-developed technology)
  • Protective eye shields provided
  • No downtime required

A full-body LED Light Sauna session using NASA-developed red and near-infrared light technology. The session delivers therapeutic wavelengths that penetrate skin and tissue to interact with mitochondria, supporting cellular energy production and collagen synthesis. The treatment is non-invasive, generates no heat discomfort, and requires no downtime. Protective eye shields are provided.

About this treatment

Cryo Tokyo's LED Light Sauna delivers a full-body photobiomodulation session using technology originally developed by NASA for plant growth experiments aboard the Space Shuttle and later adapted for wound healing research. The system emits red light in the 630 to 660 nanometre range alongside near-infrared light at 810 to 850 nanometres, covering the two wavelength windows most studied for biological effects.

Red light at these wavelengths penetrates the skin to a depth of roughly 8 to 10 millimetres, primarily influencing fibroblast activity and collagen production. Near-infrared wavelengths reach deeper into muscle, tendon, and joint tissue. At the cellular level, photons are absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, increasing adenosine triphosphate output and reducing reactive oxygen species. This cascade supports…

The LED Light Sauna at Cryo Tokyo surrounds the body uniformly, unlike handheld panels that treat only a localised area. Clients lie inside the pod wearing minimal clothing for maximum light absorption. The session lasts approximately 30 minutes. No ultraviolet wavelengths are emitted, so there is no tanning or burning risk. Protective eye shields are provided and should be worn throughout.

Who is this for?

Anyone seeking skin rejuvenation and collagen support, athletes managing muscle soreness or joint inflammation, people interested in cellular energy and anti-ageing protocols, and those building a recovery stack alongside cryotherapy

Preparation required

Remove jewellery and clothing over treatment areas for maximum light absorption. Clean, dry skin works best — avoid applying lotions, oils, or sunscreen before your session. Eye shields are provided and should be worn throughout.
