The visible part of an implant restoration: a custom crown attached to a healed implant via an abutment. The practice offers both metal-ceramic and full-ceramic implant crowns, shaped and shade-matched to blend with the neighbouring teeth. Fitted once the implant has integrated with the bone, the crown restores the tooth's appearance and chewing surface. This is the prosthetic stage that follows implant placement and is quoted separately from the fixture.

An implant crown is the tooth-shaped restoration that sits on top of a dental implant, connected by an intermediate component called an abutment. It is the final, visible stage of single-tooth implant treatment and is what restores the look and function of the missing tooth once the underlying implant has fully integrated with the jawbone. At the Chlamtacz practice, once healing is confirmed the implant is uncovered if necessary and an impression or digital scan is taken so a dental laboratory can fabricate a crown tailored to the gap. Patients can choose a metal-ceramic crown, which pairs a metal substructure with a porcelain outer layer for strength, or a full-ceramic crown, which has no metal and can offer a more natural translucency that is often preferred for teeth in the smile line. The crown is shade-matched to the surrounding teeth and checked for a comfortable, even bite before being secured to the abutment. Because it is supported by the implant rather than adjacent teeth, an implant crown does not require neighbouring teeth to be trimmed, as a conventional bridge would. Day-to-day care is much like a natural tooth — brushing, cleaning around the gum margin and routine check-ups are associated with keeping the restoration and the gum around it healthy over time. The dentist confirms timing and material choice at the prosthetic appointment.
