Carlsbad Clinic operates the only whole-body cryotherapy facility in Karlovy Vary: a chamber cooled with treated dry air to around -110 C, arranged across three separate closed rooms. You spend up to 3 minutes in the chamber, then about 15 minutes of guided cryostimulation on bikes or a treadmill to amplify the effect. The intense cold is associated with reduced joint and back pain, eased muscle stiffness and a rise in anti-inflammatory hormones. A short, concentrated course of 10 or more sessions gives the best results.
