Clinical mammography at Capio Privathospital combines standard mammographic X-ray imaging with breast ultrasound to provide complementary assessment of breast tissue. Mammography excels at detecting microcalcifications — tiny calcium deposits that can be an early sign of breast cancer — while ultrasound better characterises solid masses and is particularly valuable in women with dense breast tissue, where mammographic sensitivity is reduced.
