Mesotherapy — Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin Cocktails

Type

Mesotherapy

Duration

30 min

Skin revitalisation mesotherapy delivering customised cocktails of hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and nucleic acids by microinjection directly into the mesodermal skin layer. At Artmedica Clinic Prague a single-point cannula or a 9-needle injector delivers the formula in a structured pattern across face, neck, eye area, décolletage or hands. The intradermal delivery bypasses the skin barrier entirely, achieving concentrations of active ingredients that topical products cannot reach. Results include improved elasticity, hydration, skin appearance and collagen stimulation with minimal downtime.

Mesotherapy in its classic form, developed by French physician Michel Pistor in 1952, uses multiple superficial microinjections to introduce pharmacologically active substances directly into the mesodermal layer — the tissue plane between the epidermis and deeper dermis. Modern aesthetic mesotherapy adapts this delivery route to introduce a curated blend of hydrating and regenerative ingredients at the depth where they exert their maximum biological effect, bypassing the stratum corneum barrier that prevents most topically applied actives from reaching the viable dermis. At Artmedica Clinic Prague the mesotherapy cocktail is tailored to the patient's skin condition and the zone being treated. The base is typically non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid for immediate hydration and tissue turgor; to this base are added water-soluble vitamins (B-complex, vitamin C), minerals (zinc, silicon, copper — all involved in collagen enzyme systems), amino acids (building blocks for collagen and elastin fibres), antioxidants (glutathione, alpha-lipoic acid) and nucleic acid precursors that support DNA repair and cell proliferation. Two delivery techniques are used depending on the zone and the product: a single-point cannula placed through one entry point and swept across the treatment area with microinjections at intervals — reducing the number of skin punctures and the associated bruising — or a 9-needle injector that delivers multiple small doses simultaneously in a stamp-like pattern for more uniform coverage of smaller, delicate areas such as the periorbital zone. Topical anaesthetic cream is applied 30–60 minutes before the session to ensure patient comfort. The periorbital (eye area) treatment using the Electri technique at Artmedica is a specialist application: the formula is chosen for its gentle composition compatible with the thin, sensitive skin around the eye, and the Electri micro-current delivery mode enhances product penetration via electroporation — opening transient pores in the cell membrane to facilitate uptake — without adding the mechanical trauma of standard needle injection. A course of three sessions spaced two to four weeks apart produces cumulative improvements in skin quality, hydration and early collagen stimulation. Maintenance sessions approximately every four to six months sustain the effect. Mesotherapy is contraindicated in oncological disease, epilepsy, pregnancy, lactation and acute skin inflammation.
