The Quanta System Ultralight EVO extends the clinic's capability across multiple wavelengths and pigment types, broadening treatment options and enabling safer treatment of transitional or slightly darker skin tones. The scientific principle is selective photothermolysis: the laser pulse duration is calibrated to match the thermal relaxation time of the hair follicle (longer than for superficial chromophores), so heat builds within the follicle bulge and bulb — the stem-cell-rich structures responsible for hair regeneration — without diffusing into surrounding tissue. Once these structures reach a sufficient temperature, they are permanently damaged and can no longer generate a new hair shaft. Because at any given time only the subset of follicles in the active anagen growth phase are susceptible to laser destruction, multiple sessions are required to address each follicle in its vulnerable window.
