Intravenous (IV) vitamin therapy delivers water-soluble micronutrients at concentrations that oral supplementation cannot achieve: oral vitamin C absorption is limited by intestinal transporters and plateaus at around 200–500 mg regardless of dose; IV vitamin C at 7.5 g or 15 g concentrations reach plasma levels up to 70 times higher than oral doses at the same weight, ensuring saturation of tissue stores and enabling pharmacological antioxidant and pro-oxidant effects that are only possible at very high blood concentrations. The Vitality, Immunity and Energy protocol combines vitamin C at either 7.5 mg or 15 mg with a customisable blend of B-vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12), magnesium and calcium. This protocol is indicated for patients experiencing chronic fatigue, frequent viral infections, immunosuppression due to stress or poor nutrition, post-illness recovery (including post-viral fatigue) and burnout. The B-vitamins are essential cofactors in the Krebs cycle and electron transport chain — the metabolic pathways that generate cellular ATP — making them directly relevant to energy production. Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body and a cofactor in over 300 enzymatic reactions including ATP synthesis and nerve signalling. The Prevention First protocol adds glutathione — the body's master antioxidant and primary liver detoxification substrate — to the vitamin C base. Glutathione is poorly absorbed orally due to hydrolysis in the GI tract; IV delivery provides the reduced (active) form directly. High-dose vitamin C and glutathione together have synergistic antioxidant action: vitamin C neutralises oxidative radicals while regenerating oxidised glutathione back to its active form. This combination is used for antioxidant support, liver detoxification, skin brightening (glutathione inhibits melanin synthesis at high concentrations) and general cellular protection. The Stress Killer protocol extends Prevention First with the addition of citicoline (CDP-choline), a neuroprotective compound that serves as a precursor to phosphatidylcholine — the primary phospholipid in neuronal membranes — and provides choline for acetylcholine synthesis. Infusions are administered over 30–60 minutes through a peripheral IV cannula in a relaxed clinic setting. Vital signs are monitored throughout. Side effects are rare at these doses; patients may feel a warming sensation and increased energy during the infusion.
