Botulinum Toxin Injections (Anti-Wrinkle)

Botulinum toxin injections administered by physician to temporarily relax facial muscles driving expression lines — forehead, frown lines between the brows, crow's feet, nasal root, neck platysma, jaw masseter (bruxism), drooping mouth corners and smoker's lines. The injection session takes around 10 minutes; fine needles make the procedure nearly painless. Results last three to six months and with repeat treatments wrinkles gradually diminish as muscles are trained to contract less forcefully. Botulinum toxin works at the neuromuscular junction by blocking the release of acetylcholine — the chemical signal that triggers muscle contraction. When injected in a precisely calibrated dose into a specific facial muscle, that muscle relaxes, and the skin above it stops creasing with expression. The effect is entirely reversible: as the toxin is gradually metabolised over three to six months, normal nerve signalling resumes. With successive treatment cycles, many patients find that the treated muscles become habitually weaker and lines are less pronounced even between treatments.
