  • Seasonal treatment plan (September–May)

Laser acne treatment using the Alma Harmony platform's ClearSkin module — a non-ablative laser combined with vacuum suction technology that simultaneously extracts pore contents and delivers targeted laser energy to sebaceous glands and acne bacteria. The dual-action approach reduces active breakouts, minimises enlarged pores, and begins the process of acne scar remodelling without the ablative downtime of CO2 or fractional resurfacing. At Artmedica Clinic Prague this treatment is available from September through May, avoiding summer months when UV exposure raises the risk of post-treatment pigmentation.

About this treatment

The Alma Harmony ClearSkin module addresses acne through a combination of two mechanisms delivered in the same handpiece pass. A vacuum suction component lifts and opens the follicle, mobilising excess sebum and surface bacteria before the laser pulse is applied. The non-ablative laser energy then heats the sebaceous gland and the surrounding perifollicular tissue, reducing sebum output and creating a hostile thermal environment for Cutibacterium acnes —…

This approach differs meaningfully from topical and antibiotic acne management: it acts directly on the structural drivers of acne (sebum overproduction and follicular bacterial load) rather than systemically, with no side effects such as antibiotic resistance or gut flora disruption. It also addresses two concerns at once — active acne control and early scar prevention — by stimulating collagen formation in the dermis beneath existing lesions.

For patients with established acne scarring, ClearSkin sessions can be alternated with the clinic's chemical peel or fractional CO2 laser protocol for more intensive textural improvement. For active inflammatory acne, ClearSkin is typically used as the primary device treatment, with sessions scheduled every three to four weeks during the September–May season.
