AESTEA is a private aesthetic and plastic surgery clinic in the historic Dům U Zvonu building in central Plzeň, founded in 2002 by plastic surgeon MUDr. Jiří Šolc and run as a family business for more than 24 years. The clinic has performed over 8,000 procedures and is best known as a pioneer in the surgical treatment of lipedema — the painful, frequently misdiagnosed chronic fat-tissue disorder affecting almost exclusively women — using large-volume liposuction with the super-wet technique, removing up to 10 litres of fat in a single operation. Its lipedema expertise attracts patients from across Europe, including the UK. Alongside its liposuction focus, the surgical team led by Dr. Šolc (plastic surgery attestation 1989, trained in Germany and the USA, member of ESPRAS and IPRAS) offers a broad range of aesthetic procedures: breast augmentation, reduction and lift, eyelid surgery including the pinch technique for lower lids, brow and face lifting, otoplasty, chin and neck correction, abdominoplasty, arm and thigh correction, and female intimate surgery, with the liposuction team headed by MUDr. Petr Šíma. Pre-operative consultations with the doctors are free, most procedures are scheduled within one month, and the clinic operates from modern premises completed in 2022, with reception on the 3rd floor and parking directly outside or at the nearby Rychtářka garage. The clinic is self-pay only (no Czech insurer contracts) and serves patients in Czech, English and German.
