Volume restoration and wrinkle filling using premium Allergan Juvederm hyaluronic-acid fillers, administered exclusively by MUDr. Helena Závodská. The treatment addresses nasolabial folds, lip definition, cheek volume loss, tear troughs and perioral lines. AE Derm specifically emphasises using the highest-quality Allergan materials — the same range used in leading European aesthetic medicine centres — for predictable, natural-looking results that integrate smoothly with surrounding tissue.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers work by introducing a biocompatible gel into the dermis or subcutaneous tissue to physically restore volume, support sagging structures and smooth contour irregularities. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the skin's extracellular matrix; the cross-linked gel formulation slows its breakdown, providing a sustained result before gradual resorption over time. Unlike botulinum toxin, fillers address static rather than dynamic lines — grooves and hollows that are visible at rest regardless of expression. At AE Derm MUDr. Helena Závodská uses the Allergan Juvederm family of fillers, which encompasses different product formulations calibrated for different tissue depths and areas: softer gels for fine lines and lip definition, denser gels (Voluma) for cheek lifting and deeper structural support, and intermediate-density products for nasolabial folds, marionette lines and tear troughs. Before treatment she conducts a full assessment of facial proportions, skin thickness and the nature of the volume loss to select the appropriate product and injection technique. The injection session typically begins with topical anaesthetic cream applied for twenty to thirty minutes; Juvederm products also contain lidocaine to further reduce discomfort during delivery. The filler is deposited using either a needle or a blunt-tipped cannula, depending on the target zone. Results are visible immediately, though minor swelling and occasional bruising in the first few days may temporarily affect the final appearance. A follow-up review at two weeks allows assessment and any minor adjustments. Hyaluronic-acid fillers have the advantage of reversibility: if the result is not as expected, the enzyme hyaluronidase can dissolve the gel. Duration varies by product, depth of placement and metabolic rate — typically nine to eighteen months for facial areas, with lip fillers generally lasting six to nine months as lip movements accelerate breakdown. Contraindications include active skin infections at the injection site, certain autoimmune conditions and pregnancy. MUDr. Závodská trained specifically in filler application and performs all injections herself, without delegation.
