Ruby laser treatment of hyperpigmentation, age spots and other benign pigment changes. The high-energy ruby pulse shatters the pigment in the skin, which the body then clears over the following weeks — typically requiring one to three sessions depending on the depth and density of the pigment.
About this treatment
The Ruby laser is the centre's dedicated pigment device: its wavelength is selectively absorbed by melanin, fragmenting pigment deposits while sparing surrounding skin. It is used for solar lentigines (age/sun spots), post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and similar benign discolourations on the face, neck, décolleté and body.
Pricing is per session — from 1,000 Kč on the face, neck and décolleté and from 700 Kč elsewhere on the body — with the doctor confirming the exact price after assessing the extent. Most pigment findings clear in one to three sessions. Treated spots typically darken and flake off within a week or two, after which strict sun protection is needed to prevent recurrence.
As with all pigment work at the centre, lesions are physician-assessed first; suspicious pigmented lesions are not lasered, protecting patients from inappropriate treatment of findings that need dermatological follow-up.
