Type
IV Vitamin Therapy
Duration
45 min
A high-dose intravenous infusion combining vitamin C, zinc, B-complex vitamins, and supporting micronutrients to support immune function. The drip runs over approximately 45 minutes, delivering nutrient concentrations well above what oral supplementation can achieve in a single dose.
Wellth's Immune Boost IV Drip is one of the clinic's higher-volume infusions, running a full 500 to 1000 mL bag over approximately 45 minutes. The formulation centres on three nutrient categories that have established roles in immune cell function: vitamin C, zinc, and B-complex vitamins. The vitamin C component is delivered at a dose significantly above the recommended daily intake, taking advantage of intravenous delivery to achieve plasma concentrations that the intestinal absorption limit caps at roughly 200 milligrams per oral dose. At higher plasma concentrations, vitamin C shifts from its baseline antioxidant role into more active immunomodulatory territory, supporting neutrophil migration, lymphocyte proliferation, and natural killer cell activity. It also serves as a cofactor for enzymes involved in collagen synthesis and neurotransmitter production. Zinc is included for its role in T-cell maturation and function. Zinc deficiency impairs both innate and adaptive immunity, and even marginal zinc status — common after long-haul travel, reduced dietary variety, or periods of illness — can reduce T-cell proliferative responses. Intravenous zinc delivery avoids the gastrointestinal side effects (nausea, metallic taste) that limit oral zinc dosing. The B-complex component covers thiamine, riboflavin, niacinamide, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, and methylcobalamin. These vitamins are direct cofactors in cellular energy metabolism and antibody production. B6 in particular is required for lymphocyte differentiation, while B12 supports the rapid cell division that characterises an active immune response. The infusion is administered in a reclining chair within the clinic's dedicated drip area, with a nurse monitoring the flow rate and checking vital signs at the start and end of the session. No fasting is required. The clinic recommends adequate hydration before arrival to facilitate venous access.
