EXION (by BTL Aesthetics) is a next-generation aesthetic device combining monopolar radiofrequency with pulsed focused ultrasound, guided by AI-based real-time feedback that adjusts treatment parameters to maintain tissue temperature within the therapeutic window (40 to 43°C optimal collagen stimulation zone) throughout the procedure. Wellclinic is one of the first Polish clinics to operate the EXION FRAC platform. The AI guidance system differentiates EXION from conventional RF and HIFU devices: it continuously monitors the tissue response and adjusts energy delivery to avoid both undertreating (insufficient thermal stimulus for collagen) and overheating (thermal damage). The result is a more consistent, controllable deep dermal heating effect across the full treatment area. The FRAC (fractional) mode creates a pattern of high-intensity focal zones surrounded by untreated tissue — similar in principle to fractional laser but using RF energy. This fractional approach allows higher peak energy delivery than continuous RF while maintaining safety margins, and accelerates recovery through the intact tissue bridges that support healing.
