CT angiography of blood vessels at Voxel Warsaw — covering head, neck, chest, aorta, pulmonary arteries, abdominal vessels, and lower limbs. Contrast-enhanced protocol producing detailed three-dimensional reconstructions of arterial and venous anatomy. Particularly suited to vascular disease assessment, pre-operative planning, and pulmonary embolism workup.
Voxel's Warsaw Koszykowa 78 centre lists seven distinct CT angiography (Angio-TK) examinations, spanning the major vascular territories of the body. CT angiography uses intravenous contrast injected at a precisely timed rate to fill the target vessels during the acquisition window, producing high-contrast images of arterial or venous anatomy that can be reconstructed as three-dimensional volume renderings or multi-planar maximum intensity projections. The available studies at this centre include: head vessel angiography (assessing intracranial arteries for aneurysm, stenosis, or arteriovenous malformation), carotid and neck vessel angiography (carotid stenosis grading before stroke or TIA), chest angiography (including pulmonary artery CT angiography for pulmonary embolism — a time-critical diagnosis), thoracic aorta angiography (aortic dissection, aneurysm sizing), abdominal and pelvic angiography (mesenteric ischaemia, renal artery stenosis, pre-operative aortoiliac mapping), and lower limb angiography (peripheral artery disease extent, pre-endovascular planning). For each study, a creatinine blood test result is required before contrast administration to confirm adequate renal function. Patients on metformin should discuss medication management with their referring physician in advance of contrast studies. The fasting requirement is four hours for solid food; clear fluids are permitted. Results are available as a written radiologist report and CD; the electronic portal also accepts online retrieval. Voxel's Warsaw location specialises in cardiac and vascular diagnostics, positioning CT angiography as a core service alongside standard cross-sectional imaging. The centre's radiologists are supported by Voxel's nationwide specialist network and teleradiology infrastructure. Physician referral is required for CT angiography under Polish law, consistent with all CT examinations. Appointment booking via eRejestracja or directly to the CT department.
