Dental hygiene sessions at VELKÁ ortodoncie are performed by qualified dental hygienists using the EMS AIRFLOW PROPHYLAXIS MASTER system. The initial visit includes a hygiene status assessment, personalised education on decay and gum disease prevention, professional tartar and staining removal, AIRFLOW air-polishing, and guidance on brushing technique and interdental tools. Follow-up recall visits are recommended at least twice yearly. Patients beginning fixed brace treatment receive one complimentary hygiene appointment before brackets are placed. AIRFLOW uses pressurised warm water, air, and fine powder to remove biofilm and staining from tooth surfaces and below the gumline more comfortably and effectively than traditional ultrasonic scaling alone.
