What's included

5 deliverables in this treatment

  • Venous blood draw by a laboratory nurse

  • Optional sedimentation rate (ESR)
  • Optional homocysteine
  • Results reported through the laboratory's standard channels

A self-pay C-reactive protein (CRP) blood test at the Zlín poliklinika collection point. CRP is the principal marker of inflammation in the body, rising with infection and with low-grade systemic inflammation. ESR and homocysteine can be added. No referral required; payment at the draw.

About this treatment

C-reactive protein (CRP) is produced by the liver in response to inflammation and is the most widely used blood marker for detecting and tracking inflammatory activity. Vaše laboratoře offers it on a self-pay basis.

Markers available

  • CRP (164 Kč, the default) — rises quickly with acute infection and inflammation, and lower-grade elevations are associated with longer-term cardiovascular and metabolic processes.
  • ESR (sedimentation rate, 33 Kč) — an older, slower marker of inflammation that complements CRP.
  • Homocysteine (532 Kč) — an amino acid linked to cardiovascular risk and B-vitamin status, often added alongside inflammatory markers.
