- Optional fasting glucose
- Optional insulin and C-peptide for insulin resistance
- Results reported through the laboratory's standard channels
Self-pay diabetes screening at the Zlín poliklinika collection point. Insulin and C-peptide can be added to look at insulin resistance. No referral required; payment at the draw.
About this treatment
Raised blood sugar can develop silently for years before symptoms appear, so screening is valuable for prevention. Vaše laboratoře offers the relevant markers on a self-pay basis.
Markers available
- HbA1c (glycated haemoglobin, 223 Kč, the default) — reflects average blood glucose over roughly the previous 2–3 months, the standard marker for detecting and monitoring diabetes and pre-diabetes; no fasting required.
- Glucose (17 Kč) — a single blood sugar reading; fasting is advised for an accurate result.
- Insulin (177 Kč) and C-peptide (211 Kč) — added to assess insulin resistance and pancreatic function.
