About this treatment
The complete blood count (Krevní obraz) is one of the most common and informative basic blood tests, giving a broad snapshot of general health. Vaše laboratoře offers it on a self-pay basis at a low price.
What it measures
- Red blood cells, haemoglobin and haematocrit — screen for anaemia and oxygen-carrying capacity.
- Mean cell volume (MCV) and related indices — help characterise the type of anaemia.
- White blood cells — raised or low counts can point to infection, inflammation or other processes.
- Platelets — relevant to clotting.
