Breast lift (mastopexy) at V CLINIC Brno corrects sagging using the patient's own breast tissue — no implants are placed. Three technique variants are available depending on the degree of ptosis: periareolar (around the areola), vertical (around the areola and downward), and anchor (inverted-T for significant sagging). All use resorbable sutures and require one night of hospitalisation. The procedure is recommended for women with sufficient natural breast tissue who want improved shape and nipple position without changing overall size.
Mastopexy — breast lift — is the appropriate procedure when the primary concern is breast position, shape, and nipple height rather than overall volume. At V CLINIC Brno, the operation uses exclusively the patient's own breast tissue, redistributing and reshaping it without the introduction of foreign material. This makes it suitable for patients who are satisfied with their natural volume but want to correct the changes in breast position that come with pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, or ageing. The technique is selected at consultation based on the degree and pattern of ptosis. For patients with mild ptosis and good skin quality, the periareolar (Benelli) technique uses a single circular scar around the areola, preserving maximum skin. For moderate ptosis, the vertical (lollipop) technique adds a short scar from the areola base downward to the inframammary fold, allowing greater reshaping. For significant sagging with considerable excess skin, the anchor (inverted-T) technique, which adds a horizontal scar along the inframammary fold, provides the greatest degree of lift and reshaping. All techniques use resorbable internal sutures throughout. Surgery takes approximately 60 minutes under general anaesthesia. Patients stay one night in the clinic, and post-operative care includes prescription medication and a surgical compression garment worn for six weeks. Sports are restricted for six weeks, and the final result is typically assessed at a three-month follow-up appointment. The procedure is not recommended for patients within six months of stopping breastfeeding or planning future pregnancy, as both may alter the result.
