Dr. White performs upper, lower, and quad (combined upper and lower) blepharoplasty to address drooping upper eyelid skin, under-eye bags, fatty deposits, and excess lower eyelid skin. Upper blepharoplasty incisions follow the natural eyelid crease; lower blepharoplasty incisions are placed inside the lower eyelid to leave no external scar. Both procedures can be performed simultaneously as a quad blepharoplasty. Most patients return to work within one week.
About this treatment
Eyelid surgery — blepharoplasty — is among the most transformative and recovery-efficient procedures offered at USA Plastic Surgery in Dallas. The eyes are often the first facial feature to show aging due to the thin, delicate nature of periorbital skin, and even modest changes in upper or lower eyelid appearance can profoundly affect how rested, alert, and youthful a person looks.
Dr. Steven J. White's blepharoplasty program encompasses three distinct treatment paths. Upper blepharoplasty targets the upper eyelids, where excess skin folds downward over the eyelid crease and, in more pronounced cases, can impair the upper visual field. Dr. White places the incision along the natural crease of the upper eyelid, removing the redundant skin and, where appropriate, addressing underlying fat pads or muscle. Because the incision heals…
Lower blepharoplasty corrects under-eye bags, puffiness from protruding fat deposits, and sagging lower eyelid skin. Dr. White's preferred lower approach places the incision on the interior surface of the lower eyelid (transconjunctival approach), entirely eliminating external scarring. This technique is particularly well-suited to patients whose primary concern is fatty bulging rather than significant excess skin.
