A first appointment with a dentist to examine your teeth and gums, discuss your concerns and goals, and put together a written treatment plan with a cost estimate. For international patients this is the practical starting point for a longer course of work, and the clinic can issue the documentation needed to claim reimbursement from a German statutory health fund. It is the recommended first step before crowns, implants or larger prosthetic plans.
About this treatment
An examination and consultation at Unimedex is a dedicated appointment to assess the condition of your teeth, gums and bite before any treatment begins. The dentist reviews your dental history, checks for decay, gum problems and existing restorations, and where useful refers to panoramic or cone-beam CT imaging taken on site, then explains which options are appropriate and sets out a written plan with a transparent cost estimate.
For patients travelling from Germany, Denmark or Scandinavia, this visit is also where the practicalities of cross-border care are arranged. The clinic can prepare a German-style treatment-and-cost plan (Heil- und Kostenplan) and issue invoices in German, English, Danish or Polish, which patients may submit to their insurer; the clinic notes that German statutory funds often reimburse a meaningful share of treatment cost.
