All-Ceramic Crown (CEREC CAD/CAM, Zirconia & E-max)

Type

Crowns & Bridges

Duration

2 hours

Tooth-coloured crowns and bridges that restore a heavily filled, cracked or root-treated tooth, made from all-ceramic materials for a natural look. Unimedex uses CEREC CAD/CAM technology to design and mill restorations digitally, allowing all-ceramic crowns, inlays and onlays in fewer visits, alongside premium zirconia and E-max options. Bridges are priced per unit, and nickel-free ceramic-on-metal crowns are available where extra strength is needed.

A crown is a custom-made cap that covers a damaged tooth to restore its shape, strength and appearance, typically used when a tooth is heavily filled, cracked, worn or has been root-treated. A bridge uses crowns on the teeth either side of a gap to carry a replacement tooth across it. At Unimedex these restorations are produced digitally with CEREC CAD/CAM technology: the tooth is scanned, the restoration is designed on screen and then milled from a solid ceramic block, which allows precise fit and, for suitable single-tooth cases, completion in fewer appointments than a conventional laboratory workflow. The clinic offers a range of materials so the restoration can be matched to the tooth and its role in the bite. CEREC and E-max ceramics give excellent aesthetics for visible teeth, zirconia provides high strength for back teeth and longer bridges, and a nickel-free ceramic-on-metal option is available where maximum durability is the priority — all metal frameworks are nickel-free to suit sensitive patients. For teeth with damage that is too large for a filling but that do not need a full crown, a CEREC inlay or onlay rebuilds the missing part precisely while preserving more of the natural tooth. Each restoration is shade-matched to your surrounding teeth and adjusted so it feels comfortable when you bite. All-ceramic crowns are associated with natural translucency and good long-term gum compatibility, and digital design helps achieve an accurate margin that supports lasting results. Bridge pricing is quoted per point (unit), and the dentist will confirm the most appropriate material and design at the planning stage.
