Újbuda Medical Center offers dedicated prostate MRI protocols on the GE Creator 1.5T scanner, evaluating the peripheral zone, transition zone, central zone, seminal vesicles, and prostatic capsule. The multiparametric approach combines anatomical T2-weighted images with diffusion-weighted sequences. At 49,500 HUF for the native study (approximately €125), this is remarkably affordable for dedicated prostate imaging in a European capital. The contrast-enhanced protocol at 88,000 HUF adds dynamic contrast-enhanced sequences for improved lesion characterization and PI-RADS scoring. The examination is used for prostate cancer detection in patients with elevated PSA, pre-biopsy planning to guide targeted biopsy, staging of known prostate cancer, and active surveillance monitoring. The 1.5T platform provides adequate signal-to-noise ratio for reliable zonal anatomy assessment and lesion detection.
