The breast MRI at Újbuda uses dedicated breast coils on the GE Creator 1.5T for bilateral breast imaging. The native protocol at 54,500 HUF is suitable for implant assessment and follow-up of known findings. The contrast-enhanced protocol at 88,000 HUF adds dynamic gadolinium sequences for cancer screening and lesion characterization — essential for high-risk patients. Breast MRI is the most sensitive imaging modality for breast cancer detection, recommended as a supplementary screening tool for women with BRCA1/2 mutations, strong family history, or prior chest radiation. It is also used for assessing the extent of known cancer before surgery and evaluating the contralateral breast. A dedicated silicone implant protocol is available at 98,000 HUF with contrast, using silicone-sensitive sequences to detect intracapsular and extracapsular rupture in patients with breast implants.
