A professional hygiene visit removes plaque, tartar and surface stains that build-up despite home brushing, helping to keep gums healthy and prevent decay. Tymodent offers a standard hygiene appointment as well as a periodontal hygiene visit aimed at patients with gum disease, run by the clinic's dental hygienists. Examinations, fissure sealing and deeper periodontal treatments are listed separately, so preventive care can be tailored to the mouth.

A scale-and-polish, or hygiene visit, is the foundation of preventive dental care. Hardened deposits (tartar or calculus) cannot be removed by brushing alone, and if left they irritate the gums and provide a surface for bacteria, contributing to gum inflammation, bad breath and decay. During the visit the hygienist removes plaque and tartar from above and just below the gumline, usually with an ultrasonic scaler, removes staining, and polishes the teeth, finishing with advice on brushing and cleaning between the teeth. At Tymodent a standard hygiene visit is 350 zł. For patients with established gum disease the clinic offers a periodontal hygiene visit at 400 zł, which focuses on cleaning deeper deposits and managing the gums, and can be followed where needed by closed curettage of periodontal pockets from 300 zł per tooth. A routine oral examination, check-up or consultation is 100–150 zł and is the right starting point for new patients or anyone overdue a review. To help prevent decay in the grooves of the back teeth — most often in children and teenagers — the clinic also lists fissure sealing at 150 zł per tooth. Regular hygiene visits, typically every six to twelve months depending on individual risk, may support healthier gums and help catch problems early. The hygienist tailors the recall interval and home-care advice to your needs, and any decay or gum problems found are referred to the dentist for treatment.
