Dental Crowns & Bridges

Type

Crowns & Bridges

Duration

1 hour

Custom porcelain and zirconia crowns and bridges to restore damaged, decayed, or missing teeth. Used both as standalone restorations and as the final prosthetic component on dental implants.

Dental crowns and bridges are core restorative treatments at TWC Implant & Dental Center, used both independently and as the prosthetic final stage of implant treatment. A dental crown (or cap) encases a damaged or structurally weakened tooth entirely, restoring its shape, strength, and appearance. Crowns are indicated after root canal treatment, for large cavities where a filling is insufficient, for cracked teeth, or to improve the aesthetic appearance of severely discoloured or misshapen teeth. Modern crowns at the clinic are typically fabricated from zirconia or porcelain-fused-to-zirconia, materials that offer both high strength and excellent cosmetic results — avoiding the grey gum line sometimes visible with older porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns. A dental bridge uses adjacent natural teeth (or implants) as abutments to support one or more artificial teeth (pontics) that span a gap caused by missing teeth. Traditional bridges require the two flanking teeth to be prepared (reduced in size) to receive crowns, while implant-supported bridges avoid any modification of natural teeth. The clinic's implant expertise means that implant-supported bridges — including the All-on-4 and All-on-6 full-arch variants — are frequently placed as part of a comprehensive restorative plan. Crown and bridge procedures typically require two appointments: preparation and temporary crown/bridge fitting, followed by final placement once the laboratory-fabricated restoration is ready. Both Yishun and Jurong East branches handle crown and bridge work.
