Fat-dissolving injections, also known as injection lipolysis, involve placing a solution directly into a localised pocket of unwanted fat, where it is associated with the gradual breakdown of fat cells that the body then clears over the following weeks. It is intended for small, well-defined areas that resist diet and exercise — most commonly the fat beneath the chin that creates a 'double chin', as well as selected areas on the body — rather than as a method of overall weight loss. At Gabinety Tuwima the area is assessed and the injections are placed across the target zone in a short session. It is normal to have swelling, tenderness, firmness or some bruising in the treated area for several days to a couple of weeks after each session — this is part of the expected response. Because the effect is gradual and cumulative, a course of several sessions spaced a few weeks apart is usual, with the final result becoming clearer over a couple of months. The submental (under-chin) area and body areas are priced separately per session. The treatment is best suited to adults at a stable weight with localised, pinchable fat and good skin tone; it is not a substitute for significant weight reduction.
