The Fotona erbium (Er:YAG) laser system offers ablative skin resurfacing at adjustable depths, making it suitable for both superficial fine-line correction and deeper perioral or periorbital wrinkle treatment. Unlike the Harmony XL's multi-module approach, the Fotona focuses its 2940 nm wavelength in a continuous or pulsed beam — the same water-absorbing wavelength as all Er:YAG lasers, but in a newer-generation system that allows finer control of ablation depth and a gentler post-treatment recovery profile. At Top Laser Olomouc, the Fotona laser is also used for mole, skin growth, and wart removal. Topical EMLA anaesthetic cream is applied before all resurfacing sessions; for deeper treatments, sedation analgesia is available. Aftercare involves crust formation and natural shedding within days, followed by mandatory SPF 50+ sun protection for six-plus weeks.

Preparation required
No sun exposure or tanning for at least 4 weeks before treatment. Inform the doctor of any herpes history (prophylaxis may be prescribed). Avoid isotretinoin in the year prior. Arrive with clean, product-free skin.
